1) Tom Regan
Tom Regan is an American philosopher who specializes in animal rights theory. He is professor emeritus of philosophy at North Carolina State University, where he taught from 1967 until his retirement in 2001. Regan is the author of numerous books on the philosophy of animal rights.

2) Mel Broughton
Mel Broughton was the co-founder in 2004, of SPEAK, The Voice for the Animals, a campaign to stop animal testing in Britain, which is focused on opposition to a new animal laboratory at Oxford University.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Every fortnight the Book-Club meets to discuss various books or other reading material. Participants will have read a selected part prior to each meeting.
Everyone will have an opportunity to discuss and ask questions about the book. Further discussion is available on the Book Club’s Facebook Group Page.
